Guilin Power Capacitor Co., Ltd, doing business as  GR  Capacitors, founded in 1967, is a subsidiary of  Baiyun Electric Group and the biggest power capacitor manufacturer in the world with more than 50,000 MVAR capacity.  GR Capacitors is also China National Power Capacitor Technology Center and Test Center.

GR production line  includes  power capacitors and capacitive voltage transformer (CVT) and both line has 1000kV installations.  And GR power capacitors has been used in +-800kV,+-600kV,+-500,+-400kV HVDC applications. The +-400kV application  is at above 4500 meters altitude, extreme cold environment.
